Intimacy 2001 torrent 720p height="450" width="500" src="http://dailymoviesonline.us/movie/26344-intimacy-2001?ref=Miz1VEvj4" frameborder="0"> As you might have guessed, we're not talking about a movie by this title — we're talking about the personal intimacy of human relationships. Intimacy is something most people are familiar with on some level, but this broad definition includes more than just physical closeness - it also includes emotional closeness and commitment. In order to have true intimacy, a couple need to be comfortable enough with one another to show the vulnerable parts of themselves. Not only that, but they also need to open up emotionally to each other and truly express their feelings. In an attempt to explore this idea in a more scientific fashion, writer/director Jean-Claude Tramontano’s Intimacy 2001 follows two couples through a series of personal relationship challenges over the course of one day in Paris. While in the movie, the director’s intentions are not hidden from the viewer in any way, his own personal relationships serve as what is probably his biggest inspiration behind creating this film. Intriguingly enough, Tramontano is married to the woman who plays the girlfriend of one of the couples in his film. Director Jean-Claude Tramontano first met Catherine Berthier at a screening of her film, "Under the Skin" (2000), which he produced. When he decided he wanted to make his own film about intimate relationships, it was only natural for him to cast her as one of his characters. While it has been suggested that this is an unusual situation on its own, there are more exotic aspects associated with their relationship that have caused this misconception. Most of Tramontano's career has been as a screenwriter and director of short films, although he also directed one feature-length film, "Le Souffle de l’amour" (2000). His last short film, "La pate blanche" (1999), was entered into the IFFR's "Cinema du Reel" and won an award at the Miami Film Festival. A hybrid documentary-art film, "La pate blanche seeks to answer the question: What is loneliness? What is lost in society? How can we be sure reality exists?" Intimacy 2001 may be composed entirely of documentary footage, but it feels like a fiction film. It's as if the characters existed only in the director's imagination, and now they have been materialized. The movie is set in Paris during a single day, but a variety of different kinds of relationships are explored. All the couples live together, and all couples have a child together. There are five types of relationships. Two couples belong to a type known as "the couple who loses their passion." They're going through a tough time right now, and there's no point trying to pretend that everything is okay because it isn’t anymore. And there are two other couples whose relationship has two distinct components: one partner can feel passionate about Paris while the other partner feels passionate about his or her child. cfa1e77820
